We did some preparations for winter this week. We rent a farm that was previously poorly managed with lots of erosion and conventional tillage on hillsides.

We are excited to announce a new project in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Indiana University, and Geospherics that will promote the continuation and expansion of our on-farm sustainability practices to raise cattle in a climate-smart manner.
The dedicated efforts of Fischer Farms were recently recognized by the USDA with the Climate Smart Commodities Project Award.
We are doing some more experimenting, this time to use a corn planter to plant sorghum sudan.
