Ground Beef, Ground Sausage, & Burgers

Ground beef and burgers can be stored refrigerated with the Fischer Farms seal intact 2 weeks from the pack date indicated on the package. For products that have lost their vacuum seal or are not vacuum sealed, or if you do not expect to use a product within 2 weeks, we recommend freezing until ready to use.

For safety, cook until the internal temperature is 160°F. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

Steaks

Steaks can be stored refrigerated with the Fischer Farms seal intact for 4 weeks from the pack date indicated on the package. For products that have lost their vacuum seal or are not vacuum sealed, or if you do not expect to use a product within 4 weeks, we recommend freezing until ready to use.

Depending on your doneness preference, cook steaks 125°F for rare, 135°F for medium rare, 145°F for medium, 150°F for medium well, or 160°F and up for well done.

For products that have lost their vacuum seal or are not vacuum sealed, or if you do not expect to use a product within 3 weeks, we recommend freezing until ready to use.

For safety, cook until the internal temperature is 145°F and rest for 3 minutes before serving. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

Smoked Beef Products

Smoked beef products can be stored refrigerated with the Fischer Farms seal intact 5 weeks from the pack date indicated on the package. For products that have lost their vacuum seal or are not vacuum sealed, or if you do not expect to use a product within 5 weeks, we recommend freezing until ready to use.

Smoked deli meats: Ready to eat.

Other smoked beef products: Product is fully cooked but should be heated before eating. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
