Ultimate Beef Research Project

Fischer Farms was awarded a Climate Smart Commodities grant by the USDA in 2022 for an intensive research project to run from 2023-2028, building on our previous two decades of work to raise cattle in a climate-smart manner.

Our Goal

We aim to clearly define the practices that sequester the most carbon and reduce greenhouse gasses. The scope of our project includes:

• Establishing guidance for best practices for livestock producers to adopt climate-smart behaviors on their own farms.
• Developing science-based marketing materials to enable consumers to actively participate in climate-positive buying and eating decisions.
