Farm Tidbits- Value Chain Network

We are part of a group of local-food minded people in Indiana that meet bi-weekly to talk all things local food. The group is made up of value chain coordinators from different parts of the state that collaborate to support both producers and buyers. The activities can span from advocating for policy change at the community level, helping to connect producers with buyers, providing technical assistance for food safety training, and many other activities. At the end of the day, it's a lot of "connecting" people from different networks!

Being part of this group allows us to advocate for local food outside of our day-to-day interactions. We've been able to connect with new producers and other parts of the state. If there are any specific local products that you are looking for, please let us know. We'd be happy to ask the broader network to try to source that unique (or even not unique) ingredient from a local Indiana farm!

Here's a link to more information about the other value chain coordinators and the work we do!
