Rain Bubble

Feels like we've been in a bubble the last week or so with rain all around us (see radar picture :/ ).

Forecasts indicate we'll get some this weekend so we've got our fingers crossed. In case we don't get any rain, we spent time this week getting our irrigation equipment ready to "make our own rain" by pumping water out of our farm ponds into nearby fields. This requires a lot more labor but has a big impact on our fields that are drying out.

Braised Beef Short Ribs with Parmesan Polenta and Roasted Carrots Recipe

Few dishes capture comfort like braised short ribs. The aroma of slow-cooked beef, rich sauce, and creamy polenta creates that unmistakable feeling of a meal worth slowing down for. For this version, I used Fischer Farms bone-in short ribs- a mix of one single-bone and one double-bone cut- to showcase the versatility Fischer Farms offers chefs and home cooks alike.
