National Dog Day

National Dog Day was yesterday so we thought we'd give an update on our herd dog Ace. She has kept cool all summer finding the biggest mud/water puddles on the farm (and then promptly snuggling up with Dave) and hanging out the side of whatever vehicle she is riding in. Ace isn't exactly a big dog so when she hangs out the window it can be a little scary if you're not used to her having half her body outside the vehicle. Picture below is her in the backseat of Dave's suburban.

Aside from the farm activities, we are keeping busy with filling orders for our school/university customers who are back up and running! Good luck to everyone!

Braised Beef Short Ribs with Parmesan Polenta and Roasted Carrots Recipe

Few dishes capture comfort like braised short ribs. The aroma of slow-cooked beef, rich sauce, and creamy polenta creates that unmistakable feeling of a meal worth slowing down for. For this version, I used Fischer Farms bone-in short ribs- a mix of one single-bone and one double-bone cut- to showcase the versatility Fischer Farms offers chefs and home cooks alike.
