After many months of waiting we are excited to be moving into our new building this weekend!

For anyone that may have missed previous emails, we have been building a new order fulfillment building alongside Sander Processing's new butchering facility. This new building will give us more butchering capacity and more (MUCH needed) space to fulfill orders. In the future, we will be able to add more equipment and more frequent processing. If you'd like to come visit our new facility, just let us know!

We have done our best to prepare for the transition, but with any big transition, there may be hiccups along the way. Fingers crossed, everything will go smoothly. We would appreciate your patience though for the next week or two if there are any delays. We will be all hands on deck trying to make sure we don't have any butchering delays. If your delivery day is flexible for the next couple weeks though, we would appreciate any flexibility you can offer :)

The Importance of Dry Dams on the Farm

Monday, we received 4.4 inches of rain, most of it overnight as heavy storms moved through. By Tuesday, I checked our dry dams to make sure everything was holding. The result was simple but telling- very little water had collected.

Braised Beef Short Ribs with Parmesan Polenta and Roasted Carrots Recipe

Few dishes capture comfort like braised short ribs. The aroma of slow-cooked beef, rich sauce, and creamy polenta creates that unmistakable feeling of a meal worth slowing down for. For this version, I used Fischer Farms bone-in short ribs- a mix of one single-bone and one double-bone cut- to showcase the versatility Fischer Farms offers chefs and home cooks alike.
