This week we're sharing more about our ongoing efforts with the Indiana Value Chain Group (Partners IN Food). The group meets biweekly to discuss opportunities to promote local producers and develop connections between buyers and producers, as well as some policy work. The group continues to grow each year with Value Chain Professionals (VCP's) in more regions of Indiana. Alongside the work of promoting local food, there is also an increased emphasis on equity in the food system.

We at Fischer Farms have been part of this group for almost four years. Dave started with the group but Joseph has since transitioned into our representative. As you know, we partner with many other farms to offer their produce, maple syrup, mushrooms, cheese, etc. to our customers with the intention of making it as easy as possible for customers to source locally but also for those producers to reach more customers without logistically inefficiencies. We are continually looking to add local producer offerings, granted they meet our criteria of Premium, Natural, and Local.

If there are any specific local products that you are interested in, please let us know! Joseph can take any requests to the group to try to connect you with the product(s) you're looking for!
