We at Fischer Farms believe it is so critical to leave big areas on the farm to grow up in wildflowers, weeds and vegetation that helps bees, insects, birds, rabbits and all critters to thrive.

This picture is from the pond close to our house that we have let grow up in water hemp and other wildflowers. The bees are all over the place and birds are darting in and out. The pond isn’t nicely mowed with landscaped grass and non-native landscape plants but to those who are looking for natural beauty it is there. We are continuing to add new places like this and as I’m typing a yellow finch casually flew by my window to confirm this is the right direction.
