We are excited to announce a new project in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Indiana University, and Geospherics that will promote the continuation and expansion of our on-farm sustainability practices to raise cattle in a climate-smart manner. The project will expand our current practices and further the research to study the impact of our regenerative agriculture practices that sequester carbon and reduce greenhouse gases. These practices will be documented and shared with other producers that partner with us in the region and ultimately to other farmers across the country.

The Climate Smart Commodities Project required an extensive application process before our proposal was selected as one of 70 projects, out of over 450 applications, for demonstrating practical and innovative climate- smart methods with identified market channels for distribution.
One of the primary goals of the project is to make it easy for customers and our customers' customers to understand the impact they are making by choosing to eat sustainably raised meat on the climate. We will continue to share more content and research as the project continues in a more easy-to-understand way that you can use. If you have any questions about the project, please let us know!

Braised Beef Short Ribs with Parmesan Polenta and Roasted Carrots Recipe

Few dishes capture comfort like braised short ribs. The aroma of slow-cooked beef, rich sauce, and creamy polenta creates that unmistakable feeling of a meal worth slowing down for. For this version, I used Fischer Farms bone-in short ribs- a mix of one single-bone and one double-bone cut- to showcase the versatility Fischer Farms offers chefs and home cooks alike.
